Dervish czyli Paweł Labrentz. Swoje zamiłowanie do muzyki odkrył na początku szkoły średniej gdzie założył swój pierwszy zespół, grający electro punk. W tym samym czasie uczęszczał na prywatne lekcje wokalu. Pierwszy kontakt ze studiem nagraniowym miał w wieku 16 lat, kiedy nagrywał w "tonpress" płytę z zespołem "No problem" (wtedy jeszcze jako wokalista). Tam zetknął sie z Krzysztofem Palczewskim (Collage), co zapoczątkowało jego zainteresowanie realizacją dźwięku. W 1991r. wraz z zespołem "Talath Dirnen" nagrał utwór "Do niej", uczestniczył w tym projekcie jako wokalista, a także jako aranżer. Od tego czasu rozwój jego myśli muzycznej ukierunkował sie czysto w stronę twórczości elektronicznej, co zaowocowało wydaniem w 1996 pierwszej autorskiej płyty "She". Ten czas możemy nazwać "time of collection". Dervish wystartował jako DJ w 1993r. w pierwszym polskim klubie grającym muzykę techno "Filtry", w tym samym czasie prowadził audycję "DJ Club" propagującą muzykę klubową w "rozgłośni harcerskiej" (obecnie "Radiostacja"). Kolejne lata to ostry zwrot w kierunku stylu "detroit", co zaowocowało kontraktami wydawniczymi z MTJ rec & Trans records. Obecnie Paweł Labrentz wydaje dla Xerophyte rec, VOTU rec, Hit&hot rec, Broken rec. A jego styl możemy określić jako styl "derva". Teraz bazuje na: Vocal house, Pumpin house, filtered and funky House.

He discovered his passion for music at the beggining of middle school when he started his first electro punk band. At this time he was also attending a private school for vocals. His first contact with recording studio was when Pablo was a 16 years old, when he record in "tonpress studio" doing material for band "no problem" as the vocalist. While there he met Krzysztof Palczewski (Collage, Anita Lipnicka band), which started his interest in engeneering of sound. In 1991 with "talath dirnen" Pablo record a song called "do niej"). In this project Dervish participated as a vocalist and arranger. From this moment he envolved strictly to the electronic music side, which led his accomplishment of 1996 releasing his first techno cd "she".

This space we can call "time of collection".
Dervish started as a deejay in 1993 in the first polish techno club "filtry", in this same time he managed the first underground polish radio show "rozglosnia harcerska". there he conduct "deejay club" show. Next years bring reversal in to "detroit" style, which he recorded for MTJ rec & Trans records.

Now Pawel Labrentz working with biggests house vocalists like Inaya Day, Pepper Mashay and Tigra. Derv’s song You can find at labels like Xerophyte rec, V.O.T.U. Hit&hot rec, Broken rec. Molacacho, Sonart, Onephatdeeva rec or Chicaria.
Thank’s to his hard work, Dervish is now one of most wanted east europian producers and remixers.
